Summer Discovery

Summer Discovery is the name for our popular summer educational program that allows students ages 5-12 to take classes on a wide variety of topics. Some of the classes include dinosaurs, magnets, sound, watercolor, papermaking, ancient Egypt, birds, and forensic science, among many others. Most of the classes are three hours long, though some may be two-day classes. The classes are so anticipated that many of them fill up within minutes of opening registration. Museum members are allowed early registration and reduced class fees. Discovery Classes are also occasionally offered throughout the rest of the year during school breaks.

SUMMER DISCOVERY 2013 CLASS SCHEDULE

REGISTRATION:

MEMBERS         : May 13 &14, 8:30 am-5:30 pm using the lottery system. (Parents will draw a number to indicate their position in line to be added to classes.)
NON-MEMBERS: May 15-17, 8:30 am-5:30 pm on a first-come first-serve basis

Beyond supporting the Museum of the Mississippi Delta, members get  free admission to the Museum,  guest passes,  discounts in the Museum Store,  invitations to all Museum events, and ⑤ discounts on educational programs like Summer Discovery!
